How to Earn Big Cash by Finding Profitable Niche Markets

Picking the right niche can make or break your Internet marketing business. Often, people trying to get into Internet marketing often stumble on this step, because they simply have no idea which markets are worth getting into. Essentially, nobody wants to spend months creating a website that ends up with very little traffic simply due to the fact that there is very little demand for the topic in question.

So, how does one go about finding hot niche markets? Some Internet marketers suggest choosing a niche that you are either enthusiastic about or are familiar with. While this may come true in the end, the better approach is to determine what people are truly searching for and base your Internet business around that. Figuring out the demand for a particular niche is the very first phase.

One way to do this is to leverage some free tools, such as the free Wordtracker keyword tool (http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com). Type in a search term and Wordtracker will return the amount of daily searches for up to 100 related terms. You want to select a phrase that has a good number of daily searches – any number 10 or more is worth considering. You may already know that the fewer number of words in a particular search phrase, the more searches it generally receives. Conversely, search terms that contain more words get less traffic, but are usually easier to rank for.

Next, go to Google (http://www.google.com) and type one of the search terms in quotes. In the upper right hand corner of the search results screen, you’ll see the number of pages indexed by Google that are exact matches for your search phrase. In general, when you are just starting out, try to choose terms that have 20,000 or fewer competing pages when using exact match. Anything higher than this will require some advanced SEO to rank well.

As soon as you learn that a certain subject with decent search volume and reasonable low competition, it’s time to head over to the Google Adwords Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) to see if there is any money in the market. Enter your search phrase and see if there are many advertisers bidding for your search phrase. If there are a good number of advertisers, it suggests that there is indeed money to be made in your market. If there are no advertisers, the search term you’ve chosen may not be commercial in nature, and thus may be difficult to monetize.

You’ve now found a niche that has good search volume, low competition, and strong monetization potential. Once you discover how to find profitable niches like these, you will be well on your way to earning some big money online with niche marketing.
